The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SERVICE MANAGER to join the business to manage, support, drive and deliver growth across the entire Service Operation (Service, Maintenance, Engineering, Sales)

The SERVICE MANAGER will lead a team of service technicians, support staff and sales professionals who work with the service & maintenance side of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and associated equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting goals and maintaining customer satisfaction for the company along with being a confident leader of 15 personnel.

It would be highly beneficial if the SERVICE MANAGER has previous experience in a similar role with excellent technical knowledge of Chiller technology and has formal education and qualifications supporting their application and may have potentially started their career as an HVAC technician and looking to progress

The Role

* Responsible for the complete day-to-day management of the entire service division and full P&L responsibility

* Responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of 10-12 field-based engineers.

* Ensuring KPIs and SLAs are achieved

* Financial forecasting

* Providing technical assistance to field operatives and contractors

* Recruitment

* Ensuring training records are kept up to date

* Carrying out 'work in progress and 'post completion' audits

* Monitoring of unauthorised absence

* Site surveys

* Pricing of projects and contracts

* Monitoring profit & loss margins

* Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to

* Attending and presenting confidently at client and company meetings

* To support the growth and development of the team

* Dealing with customer technical sales enquiries

* Respond to any external sales enquiries

* Provide details of orders to customer services and manufacturing.

* Attend meetings supporting all team members, when required, in discussing large projects for non-standard equipment with the customer.

Desired Skills/Experience

* Engineering knowledge to a minimum of HND (or on-the-job experience)

* Technical complaints with the service and maintenance, repair, upgrade and retrofit of Chillers and closely aligned HVAC Solutions (Off shelf and bespoke)

* Be a strong motivator, team player and leader

* Problem-solving skills to overcome challenging obstacles

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to use own initiative

* Excellent communication skills

* Operating with integrity and professionalism at all times.

Salary & Benefits

Fixed – Wimbledon & Field Based

Ideal Candidate Locations: 60 Mins commute from Wimbledon, South West London Our client would consider candidates from other areas of London if they were committed to commuting to their Wimbledon offices 5 days a week

Please Note: Mostly Central London-based work however the position will take you further afield
