Job Description

Talented Senior Quantity Surveyor required. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be offered a permanent opportunity or can be taken on a freelance (up to £375 a day) basis.

We are working alongside a successful building main contractor, with offices in North West London. They have recently won several new schemes and are keen to recruit a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor. The contractor specialises in the luxury prime residential market, with clients including Grosvenor Properties, The Historic Houses Association and a who’s who list of famous and wealthy clients. They cover an area around Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and the affluent areas of North London, carrying out projects up to £20m in value. The schemes involve both new build and structural refurbishments always incorporating very expensive finishes. The contractor’s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business.

They require the skills of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based at their head office, undertaking all commercial duties on several prestigious refurbishment and new build projects ranging in value from £3m – £9m. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost planning, Profit planning, identification and valuation of variations, Claims notification and generation, Adjudication referrals, Detailed monthly cost / value reporting and Final Account settlement.

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will live within easy commuting distance of the area and be able to demonstrate a strong contracting background with a background in both new build and refurbishment projects. If you have worked on high end residential or grade listed building you can expect an immediate interview, but having that experience is not necessarily essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to secure a role offering a varied workload
