Job Description

Physiotherapist – Elderly Care Village – £37.5k to £38.5k + excellent benefits – Central London

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join a prestigious home for the elderly, set within a wonderful village type setting that has beautiful grounds, historic buildings, royal patronage, and facilities for its residents. The post holder will work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance at all times ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge. The post holder will support and manage junior team members and report directly to Matron.


* £37k to £39k + excellent benefits

* Permanent, full-time (may consider part-time as well)

* Monday to Friday

* Central London

* Start: ASAP


* Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Physiotherapy.

* Fully registered with the HCPC and CSP

* Experience in working with the elderly.

* Experience of working with a variety of clinical conditions.

* Ability to identify unmet needs of the service user and refer on as appropriate to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

* Must have the right to work in the UK


* To manage and be responsible for the physiotherapy caseload of the Pensioners as required, including prioritisation as indicated.

* Supervision of Pensioners using the gym

* Treatment of Pensioner’s in their independent living quarters or in the care home.

* Leading exercise classes

* Hydrotherapy (training can be provided)

* To undertake comprehensive assessments of pensioners with physical impairment or functional disabilities utilising both standardised and non-standardised assessment tools; continuously re-assess pensioners for changing needs and goals.

* To work in close collaboration with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and communicate with relevant members re referrals/treatment plans/pensioner progress/education and discharge. Attend and contribute to internal multidisciplinary meetings.

* To assess and manage clinical risk factors with individual pensioners as indicated

* To ensure consent to treatment is gained before each intervention and maintain resident’s privacy, dignity and choice at all times.

* To collate appropriate statistical data in accordance with departmental procedure and to produce reports as requested to capture performance targets and clinical governance
