Job Description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Learning support assistant to work at a school in the Highburyarea of south Manchester. The role will begin on the 20th February 2023 with full time working hours Monday to Friday lasting up until the end of the academic year. The role will initially be temporary with the opportunity for this to become permanent should the time in the role be a success and transition onto a school-based contract.

The school has a pupil in attendance who has special education needs and at present, seems to be struggling with academia. The pupil is not concentrating well in lessons and finds it hard to engage with other pupils. Thus, the learning support assistant will work closely with the pupil across a variety of subjects, sitting in lessons and helping them engage. When the pupils has a free period, the learning support assistant will work one on one with the pupil in a sperate classroom to check they are up to date with workload. Further, the learning support assistant must check that the pupils is getting on well around the school and making friends.

The role

Start date 20th February 2023.
£80.00 minimum payment per day.
Work at a school in the Highbury area.
Payments are made a week in arrears.
To commute to the school, there are public transport connections which run near to the school via Metrolink and bus services. If the Learning support assistant drives, there is close links to main road and motorways, including a free on-site car park which is free to use by staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
