BSL Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth – Full Time – Starting ASAP
TLTP are currently working with a Wandsworth based SEN school, who are looking to recruit a BSL Teaching Assistant to work with children and young adults aged 10 to 19. This will be for the remainder of the academic year, at least, most likely being extended into the next academic year.

Can you build relationships with the pupils that support the children in the process of learning?

BSL Teaching Assistant:
The school is a regional maintained Special Education Needs school in the London Borough of Wandsworth. They provide education for pupils aged 10 to 19; who are D/deaf and/or who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Many of their pupils have additional needs e.g. ASD, Motor Difficulties, Visual Impairment, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, etc. and require a differentiated curriculum and more intensive support to facilitate their learning.
The school is roughly a 10-minute walk from the nearest station, as well as offering on-site parking for drivers. The school are looking for an experienced, adaptive, and positive BSL teaching assistant that can assist and communicate in the learning of students, as well as bonding with children to create healthy relationships to assist children in the process of learning.
