Job Description

Class Teaching Assistant
* Year 4 class
* Brent Primary school
* Full-time
* September 2022 – July 2023
A modern and friendly primary school in Brent are looking for a class teaching assistant to join their school in September.
The Role
In this role you will be supporting the teacher and pupils within a year 4 class. You will be directed by the class teacher on which children to support during lessons and at times maybe required to support on a 1 to 1 basis. You will assist the class teacher in preparing resources, general administration and behaviour management. Your role will include some playground duties and general support across the school. The school are looking for a keen and dedicated teaching assistant who has had previous experience in primary schools or working with primary age children in another capacity.
This role is offered on a contract basis from until July 2023
The School
This welcoming and diverse primary school is situated in the borough of Brent. It is also located close mainland rail stations with local bus links. As a 2.5 – 3 form entry site, teachers and teaching assistants within the year group work closely together in planning and assessment for their respective year groups. The school is popular within the local community and there is a culture of celebrating diversity and working closely with parents. They have a focus on closing the gap for disadvantaged pupils and provide a broad range of extra-curriculum opportunities.

* Confidence in primary level maths
* Experience working with primary age children
