Contracts Manager

Our client are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their busy metal fabrication business on a permanent basis on sites in and around London.

Contracts Manager – The Role
You will be responsible for the overall success of your allocated sites and will oversee the Site Manager and team. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Director and will be required to attend site meetings, client meetings and internal progress review meetings.

Contracts Manager – Duties
• Produce and maintain detailed and accurate project programmes
• Maintain high levels of communication internally and externally
• Continually monitor contract performance against programme and budget to ensure project targets are met and programme deadlines achieved
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• To have the ability to understand the parameters of your contract work requirement versus any variation needs
• Promote a good working relationship with all clients and fully understand their needs
• Ensure labour for dedicated projects is arranged in a timely manner to suit the site works requirements, whilst adhering to the resource budget
• Procurement of sub-contractors at the best possible rates
• Work with the management teams in planning, scheduling, and carrying out works
• Ensure site managers are creating an agreed snag list with the client
• Produce, review and maintain method statements and risk assessments
• Carry out on-site audits to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, good working practice and company procedures
• Meet responsibilities to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to health
• Provide and maintain safe working environments that are without risks to health, safety, and welfare and wellbeing
• Develop and oversee your team to ensure that they maintain the correct level of training for the tasks they are instructed to carry out

Contracts Manager – Skills Required
• Suitably qualified
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role in a similar industry would be viewed favourably
• Experience with the complete Microsoft Office suite of products
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written

Contracts Manager – What's on Offer?
• 40 hour week
• 07:30 to 16:00 – 30 minute unpaid lunch break
•£55,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
