Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that works within a number of areas to improve society, such as Justice, Education, and Employment.  They deliver an important contract that aims to help ex-offenders to re-integrate back into society and stop them from re-offending.  Working as part of a network of providers, your role will be to work with ex-offenders to help them achieve training, education, or employment opportunities.

You will be working in Wandsworth, South West London. This is a community based roles and should not involve prison visits.

You will meet with your clients, and after assessing their situation, put in place milestones for them to move towards employment or education.  You will assist them with employment support, job searching, and breaking down their barriers to employment. You will work closely with the employer engagement team to move people into sustainable, realistic employment.  Taking on board their needs, you may also refer them to partner support providers as needed (i.e. substance misuse or specific mentoring).

Experience of working with offenders in some capacity is essential for this position. This can be paid employment; as part of a degree placement; or even as a voluntary position.
You may be asked to provide cover for members of your team and filling any gaps within the service where necessary.  You will therefore need to be comfortable stepping in to work with clients you have never met before.
