About the role:
We are recruiting an Deputy Manager for our Residential young people's home in Romford Havering. Our home caters for 3 young people of any gender with a diagnosed learning disability and/or emotional behavioural difficulties between the ages of 8 and 17 years.
As Deputy Manager you will be a key factor in helping us to deliver high quality care to our young people.We need an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader or Deputy to join our team of professional staff and share in building brighter futures for young People.
This is a great opportunity to progress quickly to Registered Manager.
We are looking for
An experienced deputy manager or senior care workers who are ready for their next challenge and looking to evolve.
Applicants should have experience of working with children who present behavioural challenges, possibly those with additional mental health and wellbeing needs.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of management of children’s homes, and the regulations that underpin our Ofsted registered service. They should be able to demonstrate that they can deputise in the absence of the registered manager and showcase excellent safeguarding practice.
Deputy Manager Requirements
• Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker in a Children's Home.
• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
Level 5 Leadership and Management (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence.
You will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the Manager
