Deskside Support Analyst
3 months – possible extension
£15 per hour PAYE
£20 per hour Umbrella
Working full time on site – TW1
Building laptop and desktop computers ready for deployment Installing software manually and by group policy
Administer computer accounts using Active Directory and SCCM
Organising appointments and deploying laptops to users including a thorough "handover" for the user
Updating the asset management system to reflect the change in status as a computer is deployed
Decommission old devices and equipment making sure asset records are updated correctly and processes are followed
Troubleshooting any issues reported to the Service Desk with devices recently deployed
Managing and resolving tickets assigned through the TopDesk ITSM system.
Following process for requesting items from stock and decommissioning/disposing old equipment
Assist with stock & asset management as required including moving equipment between locations
Correctly complete all necessary paperwork and administration processes.
Setting up multiple desks with standard IT equipment typically monitors, port replicators, keyboards and mice
Testing equipment at desks ensuring it is working correctly including checking for power and data
Cable management – ensuring that cables are tidy on desks and beneath desks while still functional
Visiting with users at their desk to help with IT issues and requests.
Troubleshoot problems with IT peripherals and replacing equipment if required being prepared to work across both Richmond and Wandsworth boroughs especially the main campuses eligible to drive the team pool van (manual transmission) between Richmond and Wandsworth if required strong communication skills. Excellent customer care and customer service skills.
