EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant – Southwark

A friendly and inclusive EYFS School in the Borough of Southwark are looking to recruit an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant.

You will be working across both the Nursery & Reception classes as an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working on a 1:1 basis with children who have been diagnosed with Autism / ASD.

The school are looking for candidates with experience working with children who are non-verbal in this EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant role.

JOB DESCRIPTION – EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

* EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

* Nursery & Reception Focus

* Supporting children with ASD on a 1:1 and small group basis

* Working with children who are non verbal

* Working alongside a range of professionals and SENCO

* ASAP Start

* Long Term & Full Time – until July 2023

* £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

* Located in the Borough of Southwark

PERSON SPECIFICATION – EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

* Strong academics across the board – degree (ideal), A levels & GCSEs

* Good understanding of SEN is required

* Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN, is ideal

* Passionate about supporting children with SEN

* Calm and compassionate nature

* Ability to demonstrate patience and sensitivity

* You MUST be able to commit until at least July 2023
