Trainee Teaching Assistant

About the role
This is a full time Teaching Assistant role beginning ASAP and going on for the rest of the academic year with the opportunity of a contract. The Teaching Assistant will be working in a classroom with SEN learners and will be responsible for supporting the class alongside the teacher. The working hours will be 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday. Experience working with SEN pupils would be beneficial but no essential as the staff in the school will support you and help you thrive within the school.

The school is a SEN provision, it is a large and modern Primary School which has a lift to assist staff and pupils going between floors. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted. It has amazing enrichment opportunities with loads of sports orientated programmes and trips taking place, the school also follows a Semi formal curriculum with life and social skills as the main priority for the childrens learning. The school is also a short walk from a popular train station. The school is looking for a committed and hard working Teaching Assistant to join their motivated and enthusiastic team.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest:
Prior experience with primary aged children or have transferrable skills
Be willing to work 5 days per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
