Academics Ltd are currently working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' school which are seeking graduate teaching assistants to join them this April.

About the school:

This school is a very popular and oversubscribed 11-16 academy. They are due to open a Sixth Form for 400 students in September 2023 and are looking for ambitious and dedicated staff who wish to be a part of the school. They have a dedicated group of staff who are deeply committed to serve our community. We have built a school on our core values of Belong, believe, Become. These values are at the heart of our school and all that they do.

The school takes a 'firm but fair approach' and they are built on the use of consistent routines and teaching the students how to behave. The schools leadership team are role models that lead by examples and welcoming opinions.

During their last inspection, Ofsted commented that 'Pupils behave well in lessons and around the school. They are polite and courteous'. They also highlighted that 'staff are highly motivated and proud to work at the school' and that 'The school's work to promote tolerance is strong. Pupils said the school is inclusive, respectful of the differences between individuals.'

The Role

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

To supervise and provide support for identified students in 1:1 and whole class situations
To assist in evaluating identified student's progress through agreed assessment activities
To lead small group sessions and intervention groups where needed
To support students with their learning and development
To prepare and maintain resources as instructed by the class teacher
