We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Head of MFL to join our team. As the Deputy Head of MFL, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of MFL in leading a team of dedicated language teachers and for promoting a culture of excellence throughout the department.

Key responsibilities:

* Supporting the Head of MFL in delivering exceptional teaching and learning outcomes for our students

* Collaborating with the Head of MFL to develop and implement innovative strategies to improve student performance in languages

* Assisting in the management and development of the MFL team

* Ensuring that the MFL Department is well-resourced and that teaching materials are of the highest quality

* Monitoring and evaluating student progress, and using data to inform departmental planning and improvement

* Promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration and innovation in languages throughout the school and wider community

Requirements:

* Qualified teacher status with a degree in a language or a related subject

* Significant experience of teaching languages at secondary level

* Proven track record of success in improving student performance in languages

* Strong leadership and management skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment

* Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students
