Internal Sales Manager – Building Systems

Job Title: Internal Sales Manager – Building Products

Industry Sector: Groundwork, Brickwork, Wall Ties, Fixings, Construction, Contractors, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Specialist Contractors, Civil Contractors, Framework Contractors, Groundwork Contractors, Sales, Internal Sales

Location: West London

Remuneration: £30,000 – £40,000 + £6,000 bonus

The role of Internal Sales Manager – Building Products will involve:

* Internal sales role selling a large high end manufactured range of building systems such as: external wall insulation, render systems, brick slips, system finishes and waterproofing, plus an extensive range of versatile façade finishes

* Targeting predominantly main contractors, developers & subcontractors

* An element of selling to end users

* Dealing with inbound calls, emails and walk-in enquiries

* Possessing a good technical understanding of the product range to advise clients and deal with any queries

* Managing branch logistics

* Upselling and cross selling product range where possible

* Processing orders for customers

* Liaising and working with the external sales team

* Keeping internal system up to date

* Working in an internal sales team of 3

* Working towards an overall branch target of circa £2.5m

The ideal applicant will be an Internal Sales Manager – Building Products with:

* Must have a proven track record of sales, within the construction industry; ideally selling through contractors, main contractors, sub-contractors and developers

* Ideally will have worked in a builders merchant such as: Jewson’s, Travis Perkins, Selco, Huws Gray & Buildbase

* Ideally someone that has existing relationships and is able to bring new business to the team

* A good understanding of contractors is advantageous

* Must have determination and fire in your belly

* Must be able to work within a team as well as individually

* Excellent telephone manor

* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
