Java Software Development Manager required to join a talented and growing in-house development team based out of a newly refurbished office in Raynes Park, Wimbledon.

As the Java Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of a team of 30 Java developers. This opportunity also offers the chance to work on a number of exciting new projects in the current development pipeline as well as many existing projects including their next generation platform.

The successful Java Software Development manager will be responsible for shaping the direction of the team. You will work closely with a variety of different members of the wider technical team including Engineers, Scrum masters, Product managers, technical architects etc… to ensure solutions are delivered on time whilst implementing best practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

A hands-on technical background with proven experience in leading and motivating teams
Strong Java programming knowledge and experience
Experience of testing strategies (TDD/BDD/Mocking/Junit)
Expert knowledge of software architecture, security-by-design, design patterns and standards
Knowledge of Cloud-first design methodologies
In depth knowledge of agile as well as scrum roles and methodology
Exposure to continuous development e.g. continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and deployment (Git branching strategies, GitHub Actions, Jenkins Pipelines etc)
