KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Southwark

A friendly and inclusive KS1 School in the Borough of Southwark are looking to recruit a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have a split role. In the mornings you will be working with a child who has been diagnosed with ASD. You will be supporting the child on a 1:1 basis, both in and out of the classroom, assisting their academic and social progress, in your role as a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

In the afternoons, in your role as a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will deliver intervention groups for children in Years 1 and 2.

JOB DESCRIPTION – KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

* KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

* Mornings – supporting a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis

* Working in and out of the classroom

* Afternoons – delivering intervention groups for Y1 & Y2

* ASAP Start

* Long Term & Full Time – until July 2023

* £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

* Located in the Borough of Southwark

PERSON SPECIFICATION – KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

* Strong academics across the board – degree (ideal), A levels & GCSEs

* Good understanding of SEN is required

* Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN, is ideal

* Passionate about supporting children with SEN

* Calm and compassionate nature

* Ability to demonstrate patience and sensitivity

* You MUST be able to commit until at least July 2023
