Job Description

Learning Support Assistant
* Year 6 class
* Full-time
* ASAP start

A Camden primary school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support two children in year 6.
The Role
In this role you will be working in across two year 6 classes to support two children who require additional support. One child finds learning difficult and requires support in academic subjects to focus and develop basic skills in to higher level work.
The second child you will be working with has an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) for cognitive learning and Social emotional health. You will be providing support during lessons and providing some one to one support outside the classroom as directed by the teacher. You will be provided with guidance from the SENCO and be involved with assessment meetings on the child's progress.
In order to apply for this position you must:
* Have GCSE Grade C or above in English language (or equivalent)
* Have GCSE grade C or above in Maths (or equivalent)
* Be able to provide two references with at least 1 relating to work with children
* Be available on a full-time basis from September 22
Initial interviews will take place via zoom. If successful at interview you will be invited for a trial day at the school.
This is a full-time position via the agency. The role is offered on an ongoing contract basis initially until July 2023.
