We are currently looking for two Learning Support Assistants to join a primary school in Greenwich on a full-time basis from September.
General Learning Support Assistant
In this role you will be supporting the teacher and pupils within a year 2 class. You will be directed by the class teacher on which children to support during lessons and will be required to support small groups both inside and outside the classroom. You will assist the class teacher in preparing resources, general administration and behaviour management. Your role will include some playground duties and general support across the school. The school are looking for a keen and dedicated teaching assistant who has had previous experience in primary schools.
1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be supporting a pupil in the year 2 class with Special Educational Needs. The child has diagnosed Autism and although is very capable academically, does require support to focus at times and to work with his peers. You will work closely with the class teacher to prepare individual learning tasks and ensure the pupil understands the work set, knows their learning objectives and stays on task in order to make progress.
You will also work under the direction of the Inclusion Leader to
* implement group or 1:1 interventions
* understand Individual Education Plans & Behaviour Support Plans and assist to implement these, under the guidance of the teacher
* provide feedback to pupils and staff in relation to progress and achievement
Your role will also include lunchtime supervision for your relevant key stage (breaks will be provided).

It is also located close mainland rail stations with local bus links.
