Job Description

Machine Learning Engineer

I'm currently recruiting on a Y-Combinator backed Start-up aiming to change the way ML Engineers interact with their Datasets. They are building a fully scalable platform that understands, visualises, and curates datasets to uncover corrupted points, fix incorrect labels, and identify difficult edge cases. It has a wide ranging application of anything from Autonomous vehicles to computer vision in medical technology. They are technically Cambridge based but operate a remote-first model, so you can do this role from anywhere in the UK.

This specific role will be fully focused on Machine Learning Engineering. You'll be focused across the whole ML pipeline, which includes implementing novel R&D approaches into the product, setting up data processing infrastructure and productionising the product on customer datasets. You'll be very skilled in Python and have experience across various deep learning frameworks. A large part of the role requires working across Deep Learning and Explainable AI research methods/models – so a core understanding of this is vital. Ideally, you'll have worked across the full ML pipeline, and have commercial experience in production level deployment of ML models.

In terms of salary, this role is paying between £60,000 – £90,000 and will include a host of benefits including various stock options down the line. You'll be joining a team of 10, so your impact will be huge in terms of the companies evolution. They are expected to scale massively over the next 18 months, so getting in at the ground floor might prove fantastic in terms of career progression.

If the following sounds like you:

3 – 5 Years of professional experience in a Machine Learning Engineering position
MSc or PhD in related subject area (Comp sci, physics, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics etc)
High level of Python and basic machine learning libraries (Scikit Learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas etc)
Demonstrable experience with a Deep Learning Framework and good overall understanding of DL
Ability to rapidly turn ideas into reliable and well tested code
Excellent communication skills, relationship skills and team-focused mindsetThen please get in touch. This really is a great opportunity for the right person to take the next step in their career. You can be a part of something highly valuable to a lot of people in an industry that is showing no sign of slowing down whatsoever. Contact Kieran Haynes to find out more.
