Core Talent are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of a leading contractor in the London area who specialise in Electrical and Mechanical projects within the Commercial, Residential and Data Centre spaces. Historically an Electrical contractor, they now operate within M&E and Data spaces are looking to bring in a proven Mechanical PM to help increase their mechanical capabilities. You will be joining a growing and ambitious business who's focus on their people, giving them the autonomy and tools to succeed and successfully deliver some of London's leading construction projects.

The role/responsibilities:

* Responsible for all Mechanical areas of the project from project initiation to commissioning and handover

* Management of client relationships to support the effective progression of the project

* Adherence to health & Safety standards in line with the company and site requirements

* Management and preparation of risk assessments and method statements

* Ensuring all design information is maintained to ensure compliance

* Preparation of technical submittals

* Management of Materials and sub-contractors

* Management of all labour resources

* Maintenance of all documentation in line with quality, compliance and health & safety requirements

* Managing variations and cost control with the Quantity Surveyor and client

* Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor and other team members to produce reports and ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements

* Attending site meetings as required

* Supporting the collation of operation and maintenance manuals

* Providing technical support and guidance to the team

Ideal candidate:

* 5+ years' experience in a Mechanical Project Management role – managing full project lifecycle from inception to handover

* Building services degree (or equivalent)

* Experience with large commercial and residential projects – Experience with data centre projects, infrastructure upgrades or fit outs would be advantageous

* Experience working on projects between £1m and £10m

* Strong client facing/management skills

* Good commercial awareness – managing budgets etc

* Holder of a CSCS Managers card & IOSH for Managers
