National Sales Manager – Building Services
Job Title: National Sales Manager – Building Services
Industry Sector: Building Services, Plumbing & Heating Distributors, Plumbers Merchants, Plumbing & Heating Contractors, M&E Contractors, Mechanical Contractors, Piping Systems, Chemical process, Water Treatment, Measurement & Control and Industrial
Area to be covered: National
Based: Midlands or South East
Remuneration: £70,000-£80,000 neg. + 20% Bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car or allowance & full benefits
The role of the National Sales Manager – Piping Systems for Building Services will involve:
* Field sales and field sales management position, selling a large manufactured portfolio of piping systems for building services and industrial projects
* 65% of your time managing a team of 6/7 including; Segment Manager, Specification Manager, 2 x Regional Sales managers, Building Service Manager and 2 x Cooling Specialists
* Remaining 35% of your time key account managing Wolseley, BSS and 2 independent plumbing & heating merchants
* Responsible for an established sales team with a revenue responsibility for circa £15m
* Implementing segment strategies, performing strategic activities & supporting the local sales team
* Lobby specific strategic building services products and coordinating national projects
* Managing the field sales team across all activities
* Implementing pricing strategy
The ideal applicant will be a National Sales Manager – Piping Systems for Building Services with:
* Must have previous account management managing Wolseley or BSS
* Building services industry field sales experience within distribution/ plumbing & heating merchants/ distributors
* Ideally with some field sales people management experience (open to regional field sales management looking to progress into national)
* Business development experience advantageous
* Strong mentoring and leadership skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills
* Knowledge of fittings, piping systems, valves or measuring devises is desirable but not essential
* Approachable, articulate and bubbly personality
