PA to Head and School Office Manager – £20 – £25 per hour
Based in Lambeth
A well-established Secondary school based in Lambeth is seeking a PA to Head and School Office Manager. The role will involve providing support the Head of Preparatory school as well as running of the Preparatory School Office. If you are an experienced PA who has worked in a school previously. Is highly organised with excellent communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise workloads and maintain confidently, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Provide high quality administrative and secretarial support to the Headmistress
Maintain the Headmistress's and Deputy Head's diary, arrange meetings and appointments, avoiding clashes
Take minutes at any meetings as well as forwarding minutes and conclusions of meetings to colleagues as necessary
Produce documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations for meetings
Manage the recruitment process in conjunction with Headmistress and the Deputy Head
Take responsibility all paperwork and Safeguarding checks for new staff, including agency and club staff, ensuring the school is inspection compliant, and to maintain the Single Central
Provide general office assistance and assist pupils as required.
Review office systems and act as necessary.
Coordinate holiday dates with the Registrar and Events Manager to ensure adequate cover of the school office during holiday periods.
Maintain staff files and monitor/account for staff absence
Assume responsibility for coordinating the final proofreading, checking, editing and electronic distribution of termly pupil reports in liaison with the Deputy Head
Manage the collation and submission of data for the ISI and DfE annual census supported by the Registrar
Attend and assist on Open Days and School events
Order stationary when necessary and ensure stocks of key items are always maintainedExperience & Skills:
Experienced PA with a min of 2 years' experience working within Education
Excellent command of spoken and written English and an excellent telephone manner
Educated to at least GCSE level (including English and Mathematics at grade A). Advanced Levels or Honours degree desirable
Be highly organised, systematic, resourceful, energetic, efficient and accurate
Pay close attention to detail, have a high degree of initiative and a flexible attitude
Have a high level of discretion and confidentiality
Good typing speed and ability to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Outlook and the School Management Information SystemPlease apply if you are looking for a great opportunity,
