Procurement Manager – Procurement Unit Manager – Senior Procurement Lead

Monarch IT are working with the central government to recruit for a Procurement Unit Manager on an initial 12 month contract – Based in London – Pay up to £660 per day inside IR35. Onsite between 2 – 5 days per week depending on needs.

Must be SC Cleared of eligible for clearance
The role itself will support in delivering of new procurement activities and contract extensions incl. PADS replacement, Live Services resources and EAS related procurement's required to help deliver ESN.

Duties for the Procurement Unit Manager:

Leading the procurement of goods and services, delivering value for money, are compliant with procurement law, and demonstrate best commercial and procurement practice.
Influencing business strategy for best commercial results.
Manage risk and provide good stakeholder management.
Provide contract management services when required.
Encourage innovation in plans and maintain a robust performance management regime
Experience required:

Experience of leading large scale/and or complex procurement (e.g. Find a Tender / Contracts Finder)
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary project teams and subject matter experts to develop requirements and contract documents with the ability to critique contractual documentation
Working knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements (e.g. EU, Government Accounting and commercial best practice)
Experience of working independently as part of a decentralised commercial procurement team, influencing, working with and managing external stakeholders and internal customers.
