Job Description
Project Manager and engineer
* Our Company specialises in the provision of mechanical engineering services to a wide range of industrial sectors including nuclear, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy and utilities. We are looking to recruit experienced Project Managers / Project Engineers to start work immediately on sites in the Essex / London area.
* Preparing, estimating, surveying, scheduling, coordinating, cost control and monitoring the assigned engineering projects. ·
* Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. ·
* Interacting daily with the client to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field. ·
* Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. ·
* Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. ·
* Cooperate and communicate with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support. ·
* Measurement of mechanical construction works. ·
* Liaison with client's representatives. ·
* Prepare and negotiate interim and final accounts. ·
* Preparation and monitoring of budget controls including the preparation of budget estimates. ·
* Measurement and evaluation of work in progress. ·
* Preparation and submission of contractual correspondence to clients. ·
* Preparation and agreement of contractual variation and independent modification valuations, dayworks etc. ·
* Monitoring cost control associated with various sub-contractors, agreement of their measurements, valuations and final accounts. ·
* Maintain timekeeping in line with specific site regulations. ·
* Work within confines of the Company's health, safety & environmental policies and safety guidelines, as well as applicable client and government rules and regulations. ·
* Follow all Company procedures, policies, work instructions, method statements, risk assessments, permits, safety and quality procedures and working practices.
Requirements:
* Have a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to work. ·
* CSCS / CCNSG preferable
Job Type: Full time, permanent & CIS
Salary: Negotiable, competitive salary / rate based on experience
Schedule: ·
Monday to Friday 08.30 – 17.00 (hours may vary according to contract) ·
28 days holiday (including Bank/Public Holidays) ·
Contract specific overtime available
Experience: · 5 years (preferred)
