Purchase Ledger Supervisor

£35,000 per annum plus benefits

8.30am – 5pm

Kings Cross, London

Hybrid

Purchase Ledger Supervisor is required for a leading business. Our client is a large and very successful engineering/Construction firm, based in London. They are seeking a self-motivated Purchase Ledger Supervisor to work within the finance team of 3.

The successful Purchase Ledger Supervisor would be expected to work alongside the Financial Controller to manage the Purchase Ledger function.

Purchase Ledger Supervisor Position Overview:-

* Creating new, and updating existing, supplier accountant

* Ensure all suppliers are paid on time via the online banking and accounts system

* Reconciling supplier statements

* Performing month end balance sheet reconciliations relating to purchase ledger

* Posting of supplier invoices across varies entities within the group ensuring they are correctly coded

* Processing invoices per month

* Monthly processing and analysis of expenses and credit cards

* Liaising with suppliers and personnel with queries arise relating to supplier invoices, and payments

* Performing supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis

Purchase Ledger Supervisor Position Requirements: –

* Essential to have at least 2-3 years' experience within a Managerial or Supervisory role within purchase ledger, such as AP supervisor, AP lead, or AP Manager

* Experience using software such as SAP and Microsoft accounts packages

* Strong ability to work autonomously and to offer solutions to problems as and when they arise

* High level of numeracy and initiative

* Construction industry experience – CIS tax experience

* Have experience managing ledgers between £5,000 to £1.5 million (ideally on the higher level of this scale).

* Experience in reverse charge VAT

* Experience in Retention and payment chasing

* Experience using the system Evolution M, that would be great, but not expected.
