Job Title: Product Design Graduate / Resistant Material Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Design Graduate to join our dynamic and innovative team as a Resistant Material Technician at our secondary school in Brent. The successful candidate will have a passion for design and technology, excellent communication skills, and experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for teachers and students in the Resistant Materials department.
Maintain equipment and resources, ensuring they are kept in good condition and are available for use.
Support the teaching of Resistant Materials to students, including health and safety procedures and the use of machinery and tools.
Work with the department to develop and deliver engaging lessons and projects that inspire and challenge students.
Keep up-to-date with new technologies, materials, and techniques, and share this knowledge with the department.
Requirements:

A degree in Product Design or a related field.
Experience working with Resistant Materials, including knowledge of machinery and tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively.
A commitment to promoting health and safety in the Resistant Materials department.
A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
This is a full-time, long-term position, commencing ASAP and running until the end of the academic year in the first instance. Working hours are 36 hours per week, with a starting rate of £13.50 per hour.
