Job Description

SEMH Learning Support Assistant
* Full-time
* Greenwich Primary School
* Ongoing contract
A primary school based in Greenwich are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their school to support pupils with SEMH on an ongoing basis.
The Role
In this role you will be supporting pupil with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a mainstream primary school. Pupils will have varying needs and the main focus of your role will be to support them to manage their behaviour and emotions throughout the school day. Where suitable you will work alongside the pupils within the classroom, but you will also be required to support them when situations become challenging giving them suitable support to calm down discuss their feelings before returning to learning. You will work with the class teacher and the SENCO to provide appropriate support and feedback on progress.
This role is offered on a long-term contract basis from September 2022.

This friendly and welcoming 2 form entry primary school is based close to Abbey Wood station and is rated good by Ofsted. There is an established and respected senior leadership team in place at the school and there is good opportunities for professional development for staff. Pupils at the school are well-behaved and engaged in learning. The school is accessible by car with free local parking available.
