Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant in Camden, NW London – Immediate Start

Are you an experienced KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant and passionate about working with young people with additional needs?

This Primary School is offering an interview & paid trial day immediately.

This lively and supportive Primary School is looking to expand its support network for SEN students within KS1. We would love to offer this exciting opportunity to a driven SEN Teaching Assistant, who will join a friendly and supportive team on a long-term contract basis.

The position will mostly involve 1:1 work with a child with Autism, focusing on their academic and social progression with the support of the class teacher. You will occasionally assist in the day-to-day running of class-based activities and provide cover when the class teacher is occupied.

Gain Education are currently looking for experienced SEN teaching assistants who have worked with children with Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD or Global Delay.

If you would like to be considered for this role you will have:

* Previous SEN experience in a classroom environment

* Ideally a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to use initiative

* Proven experience of managing challenging behaviour

* Enhanced DBS
