I am working with an excellent Upper and Lower school based in Wembley Park who are looking for individuals who can work with their students both within their Alternative Resource Provision.

About the role- SEN Teaching Assistant

The school are currently looking for 3 Teaching Assistants with experience working with individuals with Autism and Speech and Language Communication Needs to work on a 1-1 and small group basis with students with additional needs both in the provision and within the mainstream classroom. This will be a full-time position, Monday-Friday during term time with an ASAP start. The contract will ideally be for a long-term candidate lasting the entire academic year with fit being assessed at the end of the first term. Individuals with experience using forms of non-verbal communication such as PECS and Makaton are highly desireable for this role.

About the school- SEN Teaching Assistant

The school has both Upper and Lower sites with vacancies in the provisions for both. They are a mixed mainstream school that have Alternative Resource Provisions in both sides of the school for students with Autism and/or Speech and Language Communication Needs. The school are a warm and welcoming environment who truly care about their students and their academic outcomes. There are over 800 students in the school, with 64 students using their resource bases and 200 students with some aspects of SEN so they encourage individuals with SEN experience to apply. The school is based near to Wembley Park station and is well served by both underground and bus routes so is easily accessible by all.
