Career Level Manager
My client a large global financial services brand is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager on a Permanent basis. This role sits within the Global Technology department, which plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the business. We are responsible for developing and implementing innovative software and hardware maintenance to support our fund management, trading, distribution and operational areas with secure, stable and resilient technology platforms.
The duties and responsibilities would be as follows:
Management of the end-to-end delivery of initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, from 'Inception' to 'Benefit Realisation'
Lead on defining, scoping and planning key deliverables, working closely with internal and external stakeholders of varying teams.
Manage in association with the project support resources cross-squad and business wide communication, coordinating them to ensure that dependencies are understood, and necessary tasks progressed accordingly
Work closely with a variety of technical roles such as Architects, Engineers and Developers, as well as other Project Managers
Implementation of suitable governance is essential, and you will ensure it is applied and controlled throughout
Help ensure new services are transitioned into production following the Project Office (PMO) Implementation checklists
Actively monitor, identify and remove blockers preventing projects from advancingIn a fast paced environment that requires the management of multiple deliverables simultaneously, you will deliver within agreed business timescales without compromising on quality or customer value
Accurately report to multiple stakeholders, ensuring expectations are aligned, whilst also working alongside the relative support functions to confirm internal policies and external compliance matters are adhered to Maintaining and monitoring the project plans, schedules, and resources in conjunction with assigned project managers.
Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
Strong understanding and be experienced in the use of Project Management principals and methodologies such as Agile, and Waterfall
Proven track record of delivering excellent customer experience, whilst delivering major product enhancements and supporting significant business growth
Experience of working with Infrastructure, Enterprise and Security teams, and an interest in developing yourself further within these business functions
Results-oriented and customer focused, whilst ensuring all affected teams are equally engaged and aware of project requirements in enough time to meet them
The role is a hybrid role ( 2 days in the office in London)
