We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor to resource a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lwork on a new build education scheme approx £30 million.
The business as a whole turnover in excess of £1.5 billion annually and they operate regionally from a hub on the Berkshire/Hampshire border covering the South, South West and M4 Corridor and turnover around £100 million a year and growth plans in place are targetting £150 million a year.
A majority of their work is secured via frameworks or 2 stage negotiated with repeat business clients and they work in the Education – both Schools and Universities, Local Authority, Prison, Leisure, Data Centre and mixed use devlopment marketplaces on schemes from £25 to £100 million in value. They are at the forefront of the digital revolution within the industry and are also one of the best companies to work for and with and offer staff brilliant packages and benefit packages ans have eccellent relationships with clients, consultrants and subcontractors.
The initial role of SQS is to get involved on a new build school – it is just going through 2nd stage workups so you will be involved with subcontrctor interviews and selection, bid management, cost appraisals and forecasting, risk management and delaing with the clients representatives and specialist consultants.
Once on site you will take full responsibility for the commercial aspects of the scheme including both overview and hands on management of procurement, package management, CVR's, forecasting and managing a team of quantity surveryors and assistant/trainee levels – you will be responsible for management, training and development and leadership of the commercial team.
The package on offer is up to £77k basic with car or alloowance of £6k and an excellent bonus and enhanced pension scheme available.
