Our client is a reputable main contractor. They operate within many sectors of the built environment, successfully delivering an exceptional service embracing both public and private work in commercial, residential, educational and domestic sectors.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role is to work on a new job in Finchley Road, and the successful person will be site based.
Project duration is 2 years.
This is a permanent position and the successful applicant might be required to travel to the head office in Watford on occasions for meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documents
Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
Measure and value the work done on site.
Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
Select and/or source construction materials
Write detailed reports as required.
Full time positions on a permanent basis
Candidates must be based in the UK and have a track record of UK Contracts.Criteria:
At least 5 years' experience as a quantity surveyor
Experience working with a main contractor is desirable
Experience working within a fit out contractor
Experience working within different areas of construction will be considered also
Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
Strong IT and financial skills
Knowledge of all building regulations
