Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Location: Rainham – RM13 9YB

What will you be doing?

Responsible for producing a high quality recycled product achieved through effective decision making and appropriate delegation of tasks.
Undertaking day to day supervision of the Sweeping Plant, ensuring shift personnel carry out their duties efficiently and safely
Ensuring all processes are carried out in line with Veolia's Risk and Method Statements, safe systems of work and local operating procedures
Overseeing the coordination of machinery and equipment cleaning programmes
Coordinating of waste and product flows and associated traffic management
Conduct essential machinery and plant checks
Liaising with all operational departments at the site in organising safe collection inputs
Identifying parts needed for the plant and submitting monthly tonnage reports

What are we looking for?

Full driving licence is required for the role.
Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment is required
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Knowledge of current H&S legislation and safe working systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate others
IT literate using MS Packages and SCADA
Experience in the washing / aggregate recovery operation industry
Experience in operating mobile plant
Possess a valid Loading Shovel and Tele-Handler licence (this is not essential).
