Job Description

Job Title: Social Worker (Adults)
Location: Newham Dockside, E16 2QU
Salary: £33,324.00 – £40,869.00 plus Market Supplement of £3,000
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Teams: 4 Neighbourhood Teams: consisting of North East Newham, West Newham, North West Newham and South East Newham

The vision and aim of our service is to promote the wellbeing of people in Newham by using a strength-based approach that makes best use of all available resources and community assets to support and enable people and their families to make informed choices, live as independently as possible and feel safe and protected from harm.
The four Neighbourhood Teams that form the service also work closely with key internal and external partners, including, health, housing and voluntary organisations to promote and support the independence and wellbeing of those in need of support.
Newham is also a Trailblazer local authority for social care reforms and so will be implementing these changes earlier than other councils, providing you with the opportunity to join us on this exciting journey and gain experience and knowledge of how these reforms will work in practice.
About you:
To deliver this vision we are looking for social workers who are passionate about their profession and their ability to use their skills, knowledge and experience to support the people of Newham and the service in achieving its aims.
We are looking for social workers who not only share our vision and approach, but who have excellent assessment, care planning and safeguarding skills, able to work creatively with people to help them articulate and achieve their goals.
If you are a social worker registered with Social Work England, have two years post-qualified experience with a Social Work qualification and want to work in a supportive and dynamic service that provides you with a wide range of opportunity to further develop your practice and career we want to hear from you.
