Career Level Manager
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dynamic Sous Chef to join our clients' team at this lively and fast paced restaurant based in Beckenham, London.
Born out of an Italian family's love of authentic home cooking, the restaurant has evolved to offer freshly prepared dishes inspired by traditional and modern Italy. With a big local following and guests coming from further afield, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience which mixes the passion in the kitchen with the flair in the restaurant.
As the Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef managing the daily running of the kitchen and team. You will be working with great fresh ingredients and produce as well as support with menu creation. As the restaurant can get extremely busy (covers up to 130 and tables turned several times on a Saturday evening), the kitchen is fast paced and full on so you will need to be able to multi task and ensure a smooth service.
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday, working hours would be 4 double shifts with lunch break and 1 single (approx. 48 hours per week) although there is some flexibility on offer.
Our ideal candidate would
-Be at Sous Chef level with a proven work history
-Have worked in a very fast paced, high quality restaurant
-Be able to lead, manage and inspire a team as well as work as a team player
-Ideally have knowledge of Italian food and cooking
-Be able to cook with fresh ingredients to a high standard and deliver exceptional food
-Have good attention to detail and presentation
-Be able to think logically, multi task and remain calm under pressure
-Be flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
