Teaching and Learning Support Assistant

A friendly and welcoming junior school in Hampton Wick are looking for an experienced Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to support children across Keystage 2.
The Role
This is an exciting and diverse role where you will be supporting children with SEN and mainstream classes across the entire junior school. All teaching assistants within the school work with various children and rotate across year groups. Your weekly schedule will combine some 1:1 intervention support for pupils with special needs. The school are ideally looking for a teaching assistant who can provide Speech and Language support to pupils with autism as this is where they have the greatest need. You will work closely both with class teachers and with the inclusion team in support of the pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is an ideal role for a graduate who is looking to pursue a career in teaching or speech therapy.
This role is offered on a full-time basis and the school from November 2021 – July 2022

This 3-form-entry Church of England junior school is based in Hampton Wick and is rated good by Ofsted. The school is very children centered and there is a drive to ensure pupils develop the skills and confidence to flourish both within the school and in the future. There is an established leadership team in place and all staff have high expectations of all children. Pupils at the school are well behaved and engaged in learning. The school has a welcoming family feel with Christian values at the core. The school is easily accessible by public transport and car.
