The team is growing, and they are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can join their team to make an impactful contribution to the delivery of their ambitious roadmap. You will work with the Head of Product, Merchant Operations team, and Development team to help build and maintain the merchant/marketplace/partner integrations. This role will have significant focus on projects that require integration with third party APIs; Facebook, ebay, Amazon to name just a few. They are looking for a BA/Product Owner who is comfortable with leading projects from planning through to delivery and someone who will welcome the opportunity to lead their own workstream and develop the Product Owner side of the role.
• Analyse 3rd Party documentation and resources to create technical user stories for the development of Data Connectors on their App
• Lead scoping and planning meetings with the Development team
• Recommend technical solutions and frameworks so that they are building API integrations in the most efficient way
• Lead kick-off meetings with their partners to plan API integrations
• Keep the product backlog up to date and prioritised, lead sizing sessions with the Development team
• Help the team resolve sprint blockers to keep the delivery momentum
• Collaborate closely with Merchant Operations and Data Quality teams to understand the operational requirements & impact of their API integrations
* Build relationships with their partners’ technical and commercial teams to ensure:
• IR API integrations comply with security requirements and partner agreements
• Keep up to date with API upgrades/migrations
• Communicate effectively and concisely project updates to all relevant stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business Management, or equivalent combination of education, experience & certification
• 5 years+ experience working in a BA role
• 3 years+ experience working in a B2B SAAS business or e-commerce platform with high degree of complexity
• Extensive experience analysing requirements for projects requiring API integrations
• Experience working as Product Owner developing user stories into system requirements and refining/enhancing user acceptance criteria
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
• At ease with technology, happy to be involved in technical discussions at any level
• Ability to quickly understand the technical, behavioural, and contextual elements of a system & project
• Excellent documentation skills – ability to translate complex technical solutions into plain English
• Ability to work closely with Developers to facilitate and determine acceptable solutions
• Excellent communications skills – ability to lead planning meetings, visualise and communicate solutions
• Effective time & project management skills – keep on track of a project and keep stakeholders up to date
• Experience being hands on with software, being comfortable with UAT to ensure user acceptance criteria is achieved.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience of working within a scrum team
• Experience with Cloud technologies (MS Azure)
• Knowledge from working on software that handles high volumes of data
• Understanding of the marketing technology or e-commerce space
• Knowledge of working with Agile tools e.g., Azure Devops / Boards
• Skilled at using workflow software like Visio or LucidCharts
• Previous experience as a Developer or QA
• Basic salary up to £65k dependent on experience
• 25 days holiday per year, increasing by one day for each additional year of service, to a maximum of 28 days
