Job Description
An opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join a leading fleet maintenance and international business.
Our client is a highly successful international business with a number of manufacturing and service facilities in the UK and abroad with its roots going back to the 1800's.
They are the market leaders in terms of innovation, safety and aftermarket service.
This is a Hands-on position where the successful individual will be required to manage staff and conduct service / repair work on electric vehicles.
What's in it for you as Workshop Manager:
Salary circa £50k + Excellent Pension + Company Bonus
25 days leave + National Holidays.
Hours of work 45 hours per week, must be flexible to cover between 06.00-18:00pm

Key responsibilities required from the Workshop Manager:
Ensure repairs and servicing is conducted to a high standard (VOSA Standards).
Preparation of vehicles for MOT (Carry out quality Checks).
Compliance with Department of Transport specifications when appropriate
Ensure jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, ensuing any additional work that is required is identified and completed.
Ensure all appropriate information is entered into computer systems.
Effectively control and supervise colleagues including holidays and sickness.
Ensure vehicle maintenance is conducted as per schedule.
Carry out Body and chassis repairs as necessary.
Maintain regular communication with customers in a professional manner.
Ensure authorisation is obtained for any chargeable prior to work being undertaken and quotation builder used if required.
Experience and Qualifications Required for the Workshop Manager:
Excellent knowledge and experience of commercial vehicle service and repairs.
Experience of workshop administration including parts.
Formal heavy vehicle qualification C&G or equivalent.
Parts identification and ordering.
Previous management experience of staff.
The ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.
Must hold a driving license.
Ability to be flexible to suit contract requirements.
