If you qualify, availability will depend on whether bus & train operators (in your area) have signed up to take part in this scheme.
Travel Discount Card
The Job Centre Plus Discount Card could save Universal Credit claimants 50% on selected, travel by train & help make things easier, if you’re looking for work and is linked to the job centre.
You could be eligible if you are unemployed & claiming Jobseekers Allowance or Universal Credit for 3-9 months – If aged 18-24, or 3-12 months – If over 25.
All the above is subject to change.

Stagecoach are one of the biggest bus and coach operators in the UK, running services in England, Scotland & Wales.
The good news is that they operate services in the East Midlands but also in many other areas.
How to Get Your Discounts?
Once you’ve got your Jobcentre Plus travel card, simply show it to the driver when buying a single or return ticket.
You’ll then get 50% off, to the nearest 5p.
